omg who is she?

Hayley Schueneman (she/her/hers) is a writer and editor based in the Chicago suburbs. She’s spent her entire life writing, and her childhood dream was to be a magazine editor. Unfortunately, 9-year-old Hayley had no way of predicting that print media would be dead by the time she entered the workforce. C’est la vie!

She got her Bachelor’s Degree at Knox College in International Relations and French (nerd). Her resume is vast and varied, and she’s spent time working in college admissions, social service nonprofit, retail, service, and marketing. She’s seen how the sausage is made in every industry, and it’s all equally beautiful and f*cked up—none more so than her beloved media industry 💔

With bylines at Reductress, the Cut, Bustle, NYLON, Elite Daily, Taste of Home, and Simply Recipes, she is an industrious and well-rounded writer who is willing to take on almost* any assignment.

Now, she has committed to full-time freelancing because it’s suddenly the most stable way to make an income as a writer. Which Hayley is mildly annoyed with, to be sure, but understands the douleur exquise of being a creative professional.

If you want clean and engaging copy with a quick turnaround, then Hayley is your person. In a professional way, not a Grey’s Anatomy way. Don’t be weird.

xo, Hayley
